Well-being Toolkit

Protect your time.
Protect yourself.

The care was never the hard part. It is everything stacked around it. Here are 9 things that give your shift back to the people you support, and to you.

01
Document in the moment
02
Guard the edges
03
Say it out loud
1
Protect your time
The hours are yours to defend
Document in the moment. It is more accurate, and it never piles up.
Name the tasks that drain you. The worst ones are often the most fixable.
Guard the edges. Handoffs and transitions quietly stretch your day.
2
Protect your energy
You cannot pour from empty
Hold the line on days off. Rest is part of the job, not a reward for it.
Build a 5 minute reset. Something you can reach for between hard moments.
Stay close to the why. The relationships are what drew you here.
3
Ask for what helps
Speaking up is part of the work
Raise workflow friction. The good agencies are listening.
Use the support you have. EAP and peer support exist to be used.
Know the signs of burnout. Act early, not late.
If you remember one thing
An hour pulled into a form is an hour pulled away from a person.
Take the hour back.
If you’re struggling beyond ordinary stress, reach out to a trusted person or a professional. You deserve support too. This is general well-being guidance, not medical advice.
